LabTV is our latest STEM project. Seventy-one films and counting.

Working with our longtime friends at BEST (Building Engineering and Science Talent) and with support from the National Science Teachers Association and the Museum of Science in Boston, LabTV is making a difference in classrooms across the country.

In each LabTV program scientists and engineers share their knowledge and enthusiasm while showcasing cutting-edge research and technology. The LabTV team has unique access to some of the most important laboratories in the world including US Department of Defense Labs, University Labs and even think tanks like the Institute for Creative Technology.

LabTV shows make new technology topics easy to understand. (semiconductors, lasers, nanotechnology, virtual environments, rockets, lasers, robotics, CFD, electrical circuits, RADAR, hydrogen power, nuclear power, fuel cells, satellites) LabTV also explores topics related to health and the human body. (malaria, influenza, tissue regeneration, nutrition, temperature regulation, weightlessness, brainwaves, the human eye) Some shows focus on chemistry, physics and materials science. (aerodynamics, GPS, composites, carbon nanopearls, altitude, centrifuges, the electromagnetic spectrum, ceramics, metals)

If we can engage kids with great visuals and stories they will keep coming back. If they like it enough they will share it with their friends. Kids can download and share LabTV shows. Several have gone "viral."

At 3-5 minutes they are just the right length: long enough to build excitement and share information and short enough to hold kids' attention and fit into a teacher's lesson plan.
